James Allen Partlow

James Allen Partlow, age 86, of Tipton, IN died Sunday May 15, 2011 at Waterford Place Health Campus at Kokomo, IN. He was born October 27, 1924 at Arcadia, IN to George Allen and Wilma Lucille (Stewart) Partlow.

He was a graduate of Kempton High School Class of 1943. He was a member of Arcadia Christian Church and the Delphi Camping Club. Jim, as he was affectionately known, first worked at the Allison Transmission Plant, then at Earl's Electric Shop in Arcadia, and lastly worked for over 31 years at Delco Radio at Kokomo. He also farmed with his father.

He married Anna Belle (Conaway) Partlow on August 9, 1959. Anna Belle, a son, Ray Partlow and Jim's parents all preceded him in death.

Surviving him is a son: Robert Partlow of Kokomo, a sister: Wilna Lucille Stewart of Tennessee, step-children: William A. Killin, James C. Killin, Myrna Armstrong, and Laura K. Killin, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Arcadia Chapel with Rev. Lee Mangold officiating. Burial will follow at East Union Cemetery.
