James D Baden

James D. Baden, age 82 of Anderson, IN died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Community Hospital at Anderson. He was born January 31, 1928 to Otto Charles and Flossie Mae (McNew) Baden.

He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School Class of 1947 and attended Anderson Trade School for four years. He was a skilled tradesman and had worked at Delco Remy for 41 years, retiring in 1988. He was a Korean War Veteran serving his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.

He attended Christ Lutheran Church at Anderson, IN. James was a member of the Cicero American Legion that will be providing military rites.
He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture for his family.

He married Rose K. (Kaiser) Baden who survives him. Also surviving are two sons: Charles W. Baden and wife Sandra of Anderson, James David Baden and wife Cynthia of Mechanicsville, MD, two daughters: Janet Lynn Long and husband Wayne of Kansas City, MO, and Esther Jean Donohue and husband Arthur of Chester, NY, Sisters: Kathryn Cook of Atlanta, IN, JoAnn Knotts of Canton, MI, and Barbara Fike of Kokomo, IN, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 4:30 P.M. with Pastor Gary Carstens officiating. Burial will occur at the Cicero Cemetery. Vistiation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 P.M. prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be sent to www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
