Inez Marie Gilpin

Inez Marie Gilpin, age 87, of Arcadia, IN, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She was born January 3, 1923 near Carmel, IN to Paul Revere and Lois (Kivett) Newby.

She was a graduate of Sheridan High School Class of 1941. She was a homemaker. She married Lavon D. Gilpin on November 12, 1946. He preceded her in death June 22, 2006.

Surviving her is a son: Phillip Glenn Gilpin of Tucson, AZ, and two daughters: Sherry Ann (T.J.) White of Carmel, IN and Nancy Sue Gilpin of Carmel, IN, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is a son: John Thomas Gilpin, and three sisters: Elsie Thompson, Velma Martin and Dorothy Newby.

Graveside rites will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at the Cicero Cemetery with Danny Mayher officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
