Helen M. Hills

Helen M. Hills, age 80, of Cicero, IN died Wednesday July 13, 2011 at her home. She was born April 11, 1931 at New Castle, IN to Willard Elmer and Gertrude Lavaughn (Bruner) Walker.

She was a high school graduate and also graduated from a beauty college. She then owned and operated a beauty shop in Kokomo for several years. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church at Noblesville where a favorite area of service was the Church food pantry. Helen enjoyed gardening as well as feeding and watching the wild life around her home.

She married David Aris Hills on September 15, 1973. He preceded in death February 4, 2008. Survivors include sons: David K. (Dawn) Wilmoth of Kokomo, IN, a daughter: Sheryl (Ken) Tilus of Ottumwa, Iowa, 15 Grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Private graveside rites will be held with burial at the Zimmer Cemetery north of Noblesville, IN. Pastor Douglas Gast will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
