Harriet Vaughn (Hiatt) (Hiatt) Vestal

Harriett Vaughn (Hiatt) Vestal, age 91, of Greenville, SC and formerly of Cicero, IN, died December 21, 2014. She was born July 25, 1923 at Arcadia, IN to Howard Henry and Ruth Elizabeth (Lorenz) Hiatt. Harriett was a graduate of Cicero High School and then furthered her education at Ball State University. For many years she served as the librarian at the Cicero Public Library where she also was a founder of the Friends of the Library. Her memberships included the Cicero Order of Eastern Star and the Horseshoe Prairie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She married Robert E. Vestal in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: Robert E. Vestal, Jr. Surviving her is a daughter: Denise Ann (Mark) Williams of Greenville, SC, grandchildren: Ashley (Kendra) Vestal and Lauren Williams (Nathan) Littlefield, great-grandchildren: Marjley Vestal, Tristan Vestal and Owen Littlefield. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery.
