Glen A. Menefee

Glen A. Menefee, age 83, of Atlanta, Indiana, died January 18, 2011 at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. He was born October 23, 1927 to John and Mabel V. (Hime) Menefee. His parents preceded him in death.

Glen had served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He attended the Atlanta Christian Church. He enjoyed being with family,especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending antique tractor events.

He was an electrician and had worked for several years at Riverview Hospital and later at Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis.

He married Marily Joyce (Huffman) Menefee on June of 1953. She survives him. Also surviving are two sons: Brian (Tammy) Menefee of Michigantown, IN and David (Tammy) Menefee of Frankfort, IN, three daughters: Leslie Lavin of Houston, TX, Elaine (John) Green of Tipton, IN, and Lorraine Cramer of Indianapolis, brother: John L. Menefee of Columbus, IN, 12 grandchildren and 14, great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Arcadia Chapel with Rev. Harold Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.
