Geraldine Grace Hillard

Geraldine Grace Hillard, age 88, of Noblesville, IN died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Riverview Hospital. She was born September 25, 1924 at Noblesville to Kenneth and Gladys Mae (Hoover) Stafford.

In addition to her skills as a homemaker she was accomplished in oil painting. She and her family had also owned Hillard Variety Store and Hillard Upholstery Shop at Cicero, IN. She enjoyed helping others and in doing so became passionate about assisting the Disabled American Veterans Association. Her family has requested donations in her memory be given to
the DAV at P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

She married John Robert Hillard on June 4, 1953. He survives her. Also surviving are two sons: Dennis Edward Wolf of Pendleton, IN, John Edward Hillard of Noblesville, IN, two daughters: Elizabeth Ann Hinshaw of Noblesville, IN and Deborah Kay Hillard of Indianapolis, IN, a brother: Edsel Allen Stafford of Arcadia, IN, two sisters: Bertha Melvina Marcum of Anderson, IN and Patricia Mae Cummings of Cicero, IN, six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Grant Stafford and Jessie Stafford and a sister: Shirley Ann Castor.

Graveside rites will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
