Garey P Franklin

Garey P. Franklin, age 58, of Fishers, IN, died December 14, 2014 at home. He was born August 14, 1956 at Nashville, TN to Mitchell and Edna (Crowder) Franklin. He was a graduate of Noblesville High School, then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He also was in the Army Reserves for several years. He had worked had Colonial Bakery in Indianapolis, IN for many years. During leisure times he enjoyed fishing and watching sporting events. He was an avid Colts, Pacers, and NASCAR fan. His family described him as a simple man who loved his family and his country. Survivors include two daughters: Mandi (Scott) Thomas and Misti (Matt) Thomas all of Fishers, IN, brother: Larry Franklin of Sevierville, TN, sisters: Helen Doss of Noblesville, IN and Sandi Imel of Rocky Point NC, grandchildren: Cody, Trey, Madison, Jacob, Trenton, and Natalie Thomas. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a brother: Jerry Franklin. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Arcadia Chapel, 120 East Main Street, Arcadia, IN, 46030 with Rev. Jerry Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery at Noblesville, IN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
