Fred James Debarr

Fred James DeBarr, age 73, of Atlanta, IN died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville. He was born August 27, 1937 at Indianapolis to James Leonard and Ada Louanna (Woodley) DeBarr.

He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a production worker at Chrysler Corporation at Kokomo, IN for 30 years. He also enjoyed raising cattle. Fred was a member of East Union Christian Church where he taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir and led and taught the Junior Church.

He married Lucille (Sams) DeBarr on May 11, 1957. She survives him. Also surviving is a daughter: Charlotte Jackson of Lafayette, TN, two grandsons: Jason Stoops and wife Laurie of Atlanta, IN and Kevin Stoops and companion Diana McClintock of Atlanta, IN.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a brother: Lawrence DeBarr and a sister: Eileen Hanley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at East Union Christian Church. Pastor Rex Dunning will officiate. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.
