Evelyn Ann Mitchell

Evelyn Ann Mitchell, 86, of Cicero, IN died October 6, 2012 at Riverview Hospital. She was born July 7, 1926 at Sheridan, IN to Ernest and Edith (Osborne) Moore.

Evelyn was a 1944 graduate of Westfield High School and attended Purdue University. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

She was a network technician at Indiana Bell which later became Ameritech and AT&T. She had worked at L.S. Ayres also. Evelyn was an avid reader of biographies and of history books. She enjoyed interacting with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also was proud of her Hamilton County heritage.

Surviving her are two sons: William Robert Mitchell, III of Fishers, IN and Thomas Lyn (Gail) Mitchell of Carmel, IN, grandchildren: Thomas (Betsy) Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell and Caitlin Mitchell, and a great-grandchild: William Mitchell.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Moore.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Steve Pedigo will officiate. Private burial will occur at a later date at Carmel Cemetery.
