Elsie Leap

Elsie Leap, age 90, of Cicero, IN died July 10, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor at Tipton, IN. She was born March 11, 1924 at Cicero, IN to William T. and Bessie Pearl (Waugh) Ziegler. Elsie, a life-long resident of Cicero, attended Cicero School and was a 75 year member of Cicero Christian Church. She was also a member of Cicero Order of Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and greatly enjoyed family gatherings. Her kind disposition and sweet smile will be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She married Harold Allen Leap on November 14, 1941. He preceded her in death August 20, 2009. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by her twin sister: Edith Stepp, sister: Georgette Mosbaugh, brothers: William T. Ziegler, Jr., Walter Lee Ziegler and Paul Ziegler, step-sister: Mary Esther Hedrick and step-brother: John Lewis. She has 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Surviving her are three daughters: Sharon Kay (John) Knapp of Arcadia, IN, Donna Joan (Mike) Goodnight of Tipton, IN and Peggy Diana Leap of Tipton, IN, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Cicero Christian Church with Pastor Tim Lueking officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034. Memorial contributions may be made to Cicero Christian Church.
