Edsel Allen Stafford

Edsel Allen Stafford, age 89, of Noblesville, IN and formerly of Arcadia, IN died Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Riverwalk Village at Noblesville. He was born November 10, 1927 at Noblesville, IN to Kenneth and Gladys (Hoover) Stafford. Most of his adult life he was a semi-truck driver, working for several years for Brada Miller Freight Company. Ed, as he was fondly known enjoyed watching football games and Nascar races. Additionally he liked to fish and camp with his family. He was an avid poker player and used his winnings to keep a good supply of Diet Pepsi on hand, even during his stay at Riverwalk Village. He married Barbara Ann (Conaway) Stafford on January 29, 1949. She preceded him in death May 13, 2003. In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Shirley Castor and Jerry Hillard, brothers: Jesse Stafford and Bud Stafford. Surviving him is a daughter: Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Smith and husband Gary of Noblesville, IN, sisters: Patty Cummings of Cicero, IN and Bertha Marcum of Anderson, IN, grandchildren: Joshua W. Smith, April Engle, Joshua K. Smith, Jacob K. Smith and Jedidiah K. Smith, great-grandchildren: Madilyn Smith, Jaxon Smith, Dillon Smith and Corbin Engle. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor John Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.
