Dorothy Louise Lewis

Dorothy Louise Lewis, age 89, of Cicero, IN died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Riverview Hospital. She was born July 28, 1923 at Muncie, IN to Marvin and Laura Alice (Flick) Sterry.

She was a graduate of French Lick High School at French Lick, IN. Dorothy then became a nursing assistant at Sunderman Nursing Home at Cicero, IN where she worked for several years. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family and they described her as a being a loving mother. In her leisure time she was a quilter.

She was a member of Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Dorothy married Thomas A. Lewis on February 6, 1943. He preceded her in death May 11, 1992. Her parents and a grandson: Jerry Michael Lewis also preceded her in death.

Surviving her are two sons: Jerry Wayne Lewis of Tucson, AZ and William Paul Lewis of Cicero, IN, a grandson: Paul Lewis of Tucson, AZ and 5 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Arcadia Cemetery with Pastor Ron Kelly officiating.
