Dorothy Gwendolyn Campbell

Dorothy Gwendolyn (Carter) Campbell, (91), of Cicero passed away, quietly in her sleep, Friday, January 28, 2022 at Carmel Health and Living in Carmel, Indiana. Born October 10, 1930, in Paragould, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Davis) Carter.
Proud mother of five sons, she retired as a supervisor at Best Lock Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended Green Valley Church of Christ in Noblesville, Indiana and enjoyed quilting, needle point, camping, reading love stories, watching birds and boaters on Morse Lake and visiting with family.
Survivors include sons, Michael (Kathy) of Anderson, John (Cinda) of Fishers, Stephen (Margaret) of Lebanon and David (Cynthia) of Arcadia; daughter-in-law, Andrea Grable of Leesburg; sister, Shirley Lamb of Cabot Arkansas, brothers, Tim (Marilyn) Carter of Conway, Arkansas and Phil (Linda) Carter of Rector, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Sylvester Campbell. They were married on January 1, 1949 in Paragould. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kevin and sisters Almira (Mickey) Gonser and Joann Rogers.
Services will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 at Hartley Funeral Home in Cicero. Viewing will be from 12:00PM to 2:00PM with funeral service immediately following. Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
