Dorothea Mae Leach

Dorothea Mae Leach, 90, of Cicero, IN died April 27, 2013 at Harbour Manor Care Center at Noblesville, IN. She was born April 7, 1923 at Cicero, IN to Glen and Denzil (Grim) Mosbaugh.

She was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School with the Class of 1941. Dorothea was a devoted wife and mother. She was head cook at Cicero Elementary School, secretary at Arcadia and Hamilton Heights Elementary Schools and also assisted her husband with farming. Her memberships included Bethel Lutheran Church at Noblesville, IN and Indiana Farm Bureau.

Dorothea enjoyed playing the piano and singing church hymns. In her leisure time she liked to do craft projects, needlepoint and play bingo. She especially looked forward to entertaining family and friends at their Lake Shaffer property.

She married Kenneth Eugene Leach on October 12, 1941. He preceded her in death March 6, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, a grandson, Damon Leach also preceded her in death.

Surviving her are three sons and their wives: Larry (Aloma) Leach of Lititz, PA, David (Beth Ann) Leach of Plainfield, IN and Don (Jill) Leach of Cicero, IN, a brother: Leon (Florence) Mosbaugh of Noblesville, IN, grandchildren: Jeff Leach, Shannon (Kira) Leach, Jennifer (Stan) Prince, Stacy (Mason) Campbell, and John (Rachael) Leach. Also eight great grandchildren survive her: Haiden Leach, Cassidy Leach, Adelyn Prince, Trey Prince, Callie Campbell, Kinley Campbell, Mallory Leach and Macy Leach.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Lutheran Church with Pastor E. Dean Windhorn officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
