Donald Francis Dane

Donald Francis Dane, age 66, of Arcadia, IN died May 3, 2015 at Community Hospital North at Indianapolis, IN. He was born March 18, 1949 at Elwood, IN to Bernard and Delores (Parnell) Dane. He was a graduate of Tipton High School and then honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. Don was employed at Steel Parts Corporation at Tipton, IN for 34 years. He was a member of Cicero United Methodist Church. His family related that he could fix anything and in his spare time loved going to auctions. He also was fond of animals, especially his pets. He married Nancy Kathleen (Box) Dane on May 4, 1984. She survives him. Also surviving is a son: Doug Dane of Tipton, IN and a daughter: Shelly (Rich) Walsh of Tipton, IN, Step-son: Michael Meinhardt of Cicero, IN and a step-daughter: Melissa Meinhardt of Cicero, IN, sisters: Dorinda Harvey of Cicero, IN, Dianna (Ray) Creasy and Denise "Cricket" Hughes, both of Tipton, IN, 8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter: Michelle Meinhardt and a sister: Darlene Frazier. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Cicero United Methodist Church with Pastor Byron Fritz officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the services. Burial will occur at a later date at the Cicero Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
