Donald Eugene Cox

Donald Eugene Cox, age 83, of Atlanta, IN died April 24, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospice at Indianapolis, IN. He was born August 8, 1930 at Elwood, IN to Wilbert J. and Myrtle Marie (Alvey) Cox. His parents preceded him in death.

Donald was a farmer and later was employed at the Sun Oil Company at Clermont, IN for over 26 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church at Elwood, IN.

He married Mary Ruth (Frye) Cox on August 17, 1962. She survives him. Also surviving are two sons: Robert Steven Cox of Austin, Texas and Michael J. Cox of Anderson, IN, step daughter: Rita Norris of Gaston, IN, sister: Nelma Hostetler of Anderson, IN, grandchildren: Shelly Lyn Colbert, Anna Marie Cox, and Britton Ashley Cox, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens at Elwood, IN. Pastor Andrew Marshall and Pastor Christopher Dare will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 1500 North A Street, Elwood, IN 46036.
