Donald J. "D.J." Cowan

Donald J. "D.J." Cowan, age 54, of Cicero, IN died August 23, 2012 at his home. He was born June 7, 1958 at Noblesville, IN to J.R. and Nancy (Cusick) Cowan.

He was a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 1976 and he attended Vincinnes University. D.J., as he was affectionately known, had worked for the City of Carmel for 20 years. He also had worked at NAPA Auto Parts and Executive Floor Care.

He was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed and was excellent in assessing a project or problem, determining the remedy, and successfully completing it.

He married Teresa Lynn (Davey) Cowan. She survives him. His parents also survive as well as two sons: David Joshua Cowan of Indianapolis and Christopher Davey of Pendleton, IN, brothers: Martin Eric "Toby" Cowan of Arcadia, IN and Christopher Mark Cowan of Fishers, IN, grandchildren: Austin Michael Davey, Cameron Michael Davey, Darian Alexandria Raber, Dylan Michael Raber, Walter J. Norris and Damond Lamar Thompson.

A sister: Loretta K. Cowan Smith preceded him in death.
