David Kenton King

David Kenton King, age 58, of Cicero, IN died April 4, 2012 at Riverview Hospital. He was born October 13, 1953 at Evansville, IN to Willard Ruddell and Elizabeth (Pickens) King.

He was a graduate of Lindbergh High School at St. Louis, MO and attended the University of Missouri for two years. He then served his country in the United States Marine Corp. After being honorably discharged he joined the National Guard where he continued to serve.

David was a sales manager at Master Set at Indianapolis from which he recently retired. He was an exhibitor at gun and knife shows in our area.
Most of all his family remembers him as a devoted, loving husband, the best father ever, and a beloved grandfather.

He married Nancey Elizabeth (Downey) King on October 7, 1977. She survives him. Also surviving him is his mother: Elizabeth King of Fenton, MO, a daughter: Julie Elizabeth (Kris Sexton) King of Cicero, IN, three sons: Jason (Becky) King of Noblesville, IN, Christopher King of Cicero, IN and Stuart (Megan) King of Arcadia, IN, grandchildren: Bradan Hancock, Blake King, Stevan King, Ava King, Xavier Chris, Zarek King, Mariyah Sexton, Wyatt King and a granddaughter, Lucy King, to be born soon.

Additional survivors include three sisters: Kathy King McClelland, Linda King Hokanson, and Carol King Parameter all of Fenton, MO.

Preceding David in death in addition to his father is a brother: Stevan King.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Mark Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery at Noblesville, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the services. Military rites will be conducted by the Cicero American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
