Claude B. Ross

Claude B. Ross, age 79, of Arcadia, IN died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Riverview Hospital. He was born December 5, 1931 at Arcadia, IN to Edward and Gladys (Shock) Ross.

He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School and soon joined the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He became employed at Delco Remy at Anderson where he worked for 41 years, retiring in 1991. After retiring from Delco Remy he worked at REHCO Products Company at Arcadia and Products Action at Fishers, IN. Claude was a member of the VFW, the 40/8, Cicero American Legion and for several years the Arcadia Masonic Lodge.

He married Judith (Michael) Ross on September 28, 1962. She preceded him in death April 3, 2011. In addition to his parents and his wife, two brothers and a sister also preceded him in death: Edward Ross, James Ross and Rosemary Robinson.

Surviving him are two sons: Russell Ross and Samuel (Janice) Ross both of Noblesville, two daughters: Teresa (David) Kincade of Tipton, and Claudette Bea Ross of Arcadia, two brothers: Charles Ross of Cicero and Jack Ross of Florida, two sisters: Aileen Tudor of Cicero and Phyllis Moore of Arcadia, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Chaplain John Hook officiating. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 4:30 to 8:30 P.M. also at the funeral home. Cicero American Legion will provide military rites. Memorial contributions may be made to Claude Ross Memorial Foundation, c/o Cicero American Legion, P.O. Box 256, Cicero, IN 46034.
