Charles Harold "Butch" Williams, Jr.

Charles Harold "Butch" Williams, Jr., age 79, of Arcadia, IN, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at his home. He was born November 21, 1935 at Gauley Bridge, West Virginia to Charles Harold and Dahlia Jane (Kincaid) Williams. After graduating high school, he had proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and had worked on the dikes in West Virginia with the Army Corps of Engineers. Upon coming to Indiana, he worked for 20 years at Firestone Rubber Products Company at Noblesville. He was a man who always enjoyed working and after retiring from Firestone he became an employee of the Hamilton North Public Library where he worked for over 11 years. Butch, as he was fondly known, loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He married Mary Rose (Thompson) Williams on March 23, 1959. She survives him. Additional survivors include sons: Donald Ray Williams, Jacksonville, FL, Martin Denrum Williams, Arcadia, IN, Daughters: Rachel Ann Miles, Fortville, IN, Jodie Lynn Wilhelm, Wesley Chapel, NC, Kelli Marie Gibson, Indianapolis, IN and Kati Margaret Stanfield, McCordsville, IN, sisters: Sandra Johnson, Summersville, WV and Lydia Marie Pearson, Summersville, WV, 19 Grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Nechia Williams, sisters: Betty Neal, Loretta Edelman and Margaret Krise. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Arcadia Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ben Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery near Arcadia, IN. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, also at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes, P.O.
