Charles H. Sumner

Charles H. Sumner, age 81, of Naples, FL, and formerly Cicero, IN died April 1, 2010 at Physicians Regional Hospital at Naples. He was born September 5, 1928 to Paul and Hazel (Honnold) Sumner. He had worked for many years in special trades at Delco Remy at Anderson, IN. He was a 54 year member of Hinkle Masonic Lodge, 52 year member of the Mural Shrine and a 54 year member of the Scottish Rite. He also belonged to the Moose Lodge and the Heartland Riders Association. He married Carolyn (Sowers) Sumner who preceded him in death September 14, 1986. Surviving him is a son: Tony Sumner of Naples, FL and a brother: Phil Sumner of Swayzee, IN, also a granddaughter: Stacey Ray of Noblesville and four great grandchildren: Hunter, Landon, Kaden and Wyatt. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents and wife are two sons: Mickey and Rex Sumner, brother: Joe Sumner and a sister Elizabeth Hood. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the services. Scott Miller will officiate.
