Charles Richard Bardonner

Charles Richard Bardonner, age 78, of Arcadia, IN died January 8, 2014 at his home. He was born October 31, 1935 at Arcadia, IN to Roy Edward and Margaret Mae (Heisser) Bardonner. He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1953. Chuck as he was fondly known was an electrician with Dodd Electric Company where he had worked for many years. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia, IN and had served as a church trustee. He also was a member of the Falcon Club of America and the Convertible Club of Central Indiana. He enjoyed woodworking and watching NASCAR races. He married Jo Edna (Kendall) Bardonner on June 5, 1955. She survives him along with four daughters: Kathy Godby of Arcadia, IN, Cindy (Scott) Fernung of Tipton, IN, Becky (Nissium) Shemo of Tampa, FL, and Patty (Jeff) Hiday of Carmel, IN, a sister: Margaret Ann Kendall of Elwood, IN, grandchildren: Tina (Alex) Schildmeier, Emily (Jim) Bates, Sarah (Eric) Robe, Collin Godby, Kelsey Godby, Lindsay (Brandon) Reynolds, Adam (Jenny) Fernung, Ryan (Kristina) Fernung, Aaron (Cara) Endicott, Austin Hiday and Adison Hiday, great-grandchildren: Claire, Ethan, Olivia, Gavin, Logan, Shelby, Oliver, Alexis, Jazmine, Anthony, Jack and Josephine. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a brother: Robert Bardonner and a sister: Phyllis Stover. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Emanual Lutheran Church at Arcadia, IN with Pastor James Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery near Arcadia. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday at Hartley Funeral Homes Arcadia Chapel.
