Cate (Catherine Irene) Wilson, 66, of Cicero, IN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Cate was born on June 25, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Dick and Irene Koopmans. Cate's family moved often between Chicago and Southern California during her childhood years. She graduated from Rosemead, CA High School in 1968 and later earned a degree in Accounting from Regis University in Denver, CO. Cate lived in Denver for 20 years, where she raised her daughter Nicole and became an executive at a successful private oil and gas company. Cate moved to Cicero, IN to marry her beloved, Gary Wilson on January 3, 2004.
Cate was known for lighting up every room she entered with her effervescent smile and friendly personality. She had a unique way of instantly making you feel like you had been friends forever and always would be. Cate was a member of Life Church in Noblesville, IN, where she enjoyed worship, fellowship, and participating in and leading women's Bible studies. Cate was a leader in the Hanna's Gift and Malachi Dad's prison ministries along with her husband Gary. Cate's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, especially Nicole and John's little Ellie. She loved cooking, sailing, cruising, and eating at romantic outdoor restaurants in Italy with her husband.
