Cash H. Cummins

Cash H. Cummins, age 92 of Atlanta, IN, died Monday, June 14, 2010. He was born December 3, 1917 at Tipton, IN to Paul Reeder and Elizabeth (Corwin) Cummins.

He was a farmer and had also worked at Detroit Diesel Allison at Indianapolis. He enjoyed woodworking and horseback riding. Cash and his wife owned a motor home and enjoyed traveling and camping and spending winters in Florida. He was a member of East Union Christian Church.

He married Vera Jean (Barker) Cummins on September 15, 1940. She survives him. Also surviving are two children: Garry (Alice) Cummins of Tipton, IN, Marlene Cummins and friend Dean Markley of Cicero, IN, grandchildren: Cheryl (Bill) DeYoung, Ryan Cummins, and Shannon Stuart-Ewing, great-grandchildren: Zachary and Maggie DeYoung, Adam Cummins, Payton Cummins, Tori Denham, and Cameron Ewing. Also surviving is a half sister: Marilyn (Dick) Fernung of Tipton.

Preceding him in death is a brother: Ray Cummins and a sister: Wanda Hawkins, Half-brother: Olan "Mike" Cummins, half-sisters: LaGretta Jones and Mona Lou Cyphers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:00 A.M, at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Rex Dunning officiating. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.
