Carol C. Seely

Carol C. Seely, age 93, of Arcadia, IN died October 9, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor at Tipton, IN. She was born December 29, 1916 to Archie and Laura (Castor) Brown.

She was a graduate of Windfall High School Class of 1935. She enjoyed being a homemaker, had also worked as a cook at Hamilton Heights Schools for over 20 years, and had assisted her husband with their business, Seely Plumbing and Heating at Cicero, IN. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church at Arcadia and a 50 year plus member of the Cicero Order of Eastern Star.

She married Hubert Wayne Seely May 16, 1936. He preceded her in death November of 1995. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Billy Lee Seely and Hubert Wayne Seely, Jr., grandson: Robert Wayne Seely Hunter, brother: Kenneth Brown and a sister: Gretchen Brown Weismiller.

Surviving her is a daughter and her husband: Carolyn Sue (David) Pickett of Arcadia, IN, a brother: Jack Brown of Green town, IN, grandchildren: Denise Pickett Sicula of Frisco, Texas, Mark Allan Pickett of Altadena, CA, Russell Wayne Pickett of Arcadia, IN and Lee Ellen Hunter Graham of Atlanta, IN, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held November 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church at Arcadia, IN with Pastor Rebecca Smith officiating. Burial will follow at New Lancaster Cemetery near Elwood, IN. Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to the services also at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 457, Arcadia, IN 46030.
