Bobby Ray Stapleton

Bobby Ray Stapleton, age 66, of Cicero, IN died March 18, 2018 at Riverview Health at Noblesville, IN. He was born December 11, 1951 at Pennington Gap, Virginia to Leroy and Violet Marie (Justus) Stapleton. He worked for Hamilton Heights School Corporation for over 28 years as a school bus driver and maintenance supervisor. He was an avid Hamilton Heights fan of all sports, and had helped coach Heights football and baseball teams. He became a father figure to many young people in the Hamilton Heights Community. He retired in 2017. Bobby had a golf cart that would achieve speeds of 40 miles per hour and visited local areas, Noblesville and of course, his beloved Heights Schools. He was a loving, caring father and grandfather and his family attested to the fact that he was a people person to the extreme. Surviving him are sons: Robert J. (Carol) Stapleton of Arcadia, IN, Nathen A. (Michelle) Stapleton of Arcadia, IN, daughters: Tracy R. (Donovan) Zachary of Cicero, IN and Amanda K. (Rick) Lunsford of Noblesville, IN, brothers: Charles Stapleton of Sheridan, IN and Wayne Stapleton of Hortonville, IN, sister: Nancy Stapleton of Lebanon, IN, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren plus being a foster grandpa to many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Bill, Harvey and Danny Stapleton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 at10:30 A.M. at Noblesville Baptist Church, 1338 East Pleasant Street, Noblesville, IN 46060, with Pastor Seth Leeman and Pastor Ken Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Crown View Cemetery at Sheridan, IN. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, also at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Husky Champions Club, 410 West Main Street, P.O. Box 469, Arcadia, IN 46030.
