Beverly Jean Ulrey

Beverly Jean Ulrey, age 77, of Arcadia, IN died February 17, 2015 at Gainsville, GA. She was born January 31, 1938 at Indianapolis, IN to Virgil Warren and Doris (Anderson) Liggett. Bev, as she was affectionately known was active in the real estate business with her husband at Ulrey Real Estate Company at Indianapolis. She also had driven a school bus for Indianapolis Schools and lastly had worked helping others at the New Hope Group Home at Tipton, IN. Bev enjoyed having morning coffee with her friends at a local restaurant, going to auctions and garage sales, sewing and quilting. She was a member of a local quilting club. She married James H. Ulrey on April 16, 1973. He preceded her in death June 28, 2012. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother: Norman Liggett. Survivors include a daughter: Sherry Lomax of Alto ,GA, a son: Mark Hancock of Camby, IN, grandchildren: Jason Hancock, Skylia Mundy, and Ty Ellard, sisters: Donna Liggett McKenney and Lois Liggett Thornton, step-children: John Ulrey, Jane Caddel and Judi Ulrey. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Elder John Knapp officiating.
