Betty Jean Widows

Betty Jean Widows, age 86, of Cicero, IN died December 13, 2012 at Riverwalk Village at Noblesville, IN. She was born February 22, 1926 at Antioch, IN to Rev. Raymond and Esther (Jellison) Wiggins. She graduated from Cambridge City High School in 1944 but had lived in Cicero, IN most of her life.

She had worked at Bargain Bob's at Atlanta, IN and later at Wal Mart at Noblesville, IN. However, she enjoyed most of all her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Cicero Christian Church and Cicero Homemakers Club. She spent many years at Cicero Ceramics making gifts for loved ones. For over 30 years she enjoyed camping at Lost Lake where she made many special friends.

She married Garland Widows in May of 1946. He preceded her in death August of 2005.In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by a daughter: Garlene Hobbs and step-mother: Marie Wiggins.

Surviving her are two sons: Ronald (Gloria) Widows of Apache Junction, Arizona and Stanley (Brenda) Widows of Cicero, IN, a daughter: Connie (Reg) Collins of Noblesville, IN; a sister: Doris Mae Wiggins of Kendalville, IN, son-in-law: Roscoe Hobbs of Fishers, IN, 9 gandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Elder John Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery.
