Betty Jean Cahill

Betty Jean Cahill, age 88, of Arcadia, IN died August 5, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor at Tipton, IN. She was born February 9, 1926 at Columbus, Georgia to Samuel James and Annie (Howard) Lawhorn. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church at Danville, IL. She was first employed at B.F. Goodrich Company at Thomaston, GA, then worked at a bakery in Danville, IL for 38 years, and lastly worked at the Flamingo Manufacturing Company. Betty was a kind, gentle lady who made friends easily. Her family described her as a very sweet person who loved helping her neighbors. She is survived by a brother: Roy Lawhorn of Griffin, GA, half brothers: Steve and Hilton Lawhorn of Roswell, GA, Chester Lawhorn of Elcaville, GA, half-sisters: Jeanette Sakala of Denver, Co, Linda Cripe of Chula Vista, CA and Laverne Frymeyer of Roswell, GA and Gracie McDaniels of Cummings, GA along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Lawhorn and half-brothers: Joe and James Lawhorn. Visitation for Betty will be from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN. She will be buried in Mount Nebo Cemetery near Charing, Georgia at a later date.
