Avonelle D. Small

Avonelle D. Small, age 78, of Cicero, IN, died January 7, 2013 at Riverview Hospital. She was born August 25, 1934 at Sharpsville, IN to Esco and Dorothy Bell (Horton) Westfall.

She was a graduate of Noblesville High School with the Class of 1952. She had worked at Delco Radio at Kokomo, Wimpy's Restaurant at Noblesville, then at Jack's Restaurant and Jackson Street CafAC. at Cicero, IN.

Avonelle attended New Life Church at Noblesville, IN. She enjoyed reading and shopping. Friends and customers knew her as a friendly, people person enjoying the company of others.

She married William Robert Small on July 23, 1955. He preceded her in death February 15, 2012. Her parents and a sister, Nelma Yancey also preceded her in death.

Surviving her are two daughters and their husbands: Elaine (Robert) McGuire of Noblesville, IN and Linda "Katie" (Dave) Hodgin of Cicero, IN, a brother: Harold Westfall of Henderson, NV, grandchildren: Rebecca Hodgin and James Hodgin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Rev. Stan Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Janus Developmental Services.
