Annie Lucille "Lucy" Hurst

Annie Lucille "Lucy" Hurst, age 89, of Tipton, IN died Saturday, January 28, 2017 at her home. She was born May 5, 1927 at St. Joseph, TN to William Oscar and Carrie Lee (Burgess) Sandy. Upon moving to Indiana, she became employed at Firestone Tire & Rubber Company at Noblesville, IN, working in the rubber molding department. She married William Thomas Hurst on May 13, 1967, and her family was planning a celebration of their upcoming 50th wedding anniversary along with her 90th birthday in May. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and traveling. Most of all she loved visiting with her family and friends. Surviving her is her husband, a sister: Dorothy Gene Patalion of Sumerset, KY, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents and six siblings preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Rev. Neal Brown officiating.
