AN

Annabeth Naylor

–

Cicero, Indiana

Anna Elizabeth Naylor is the beloved daughter of Yvetta and Ryan Naylor, and the dear sister of Alex and Katherine Naylor. She was born on January 19th, 2006, and died March 21st, 2025, at only 19 years old.

Although Annabeth’s time on Earth was short and often fraught with uphill battles, that did not limit the number of lives she touched while she was here. She is a daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, aunt, girlfriend, and friend. Each of these titles meant very much to her, yet she used them lightly. To Annabeth, everyone she met was meant to be her friend, and she had the ability to form close relationships instantly in unlikely places. Between her affectionate nature, her thoughtful efforts, and her determination to make sure no one ever felt alone, there was hardly anywhere Annabeth went without bringing someone new into her circle or reminding someone that they continued to matter to her. She will be missed by many.

Annabeth will be remembered for many things: her laugh, her determination, her artistic nature, her affinity for Mexican food, Stitch, and the color purple. But perhaps most of all, she will be remembered for her contagious, larger than life personality. Everywhere Annabeth went, she served major main-character energy, bringing life and energy to every function. She was interested in nearly anything artistic, from dance to theater, crafting and art to makeup and hair, and singing both on the stage and in the bathroom. She was a fashion icon. She loved spending time with friends and family, and she was honored when people came to her for advice. She loved an inside joke, but she was quick to come up with humor for a whole group. And she was involved in many groups. In Annabeth’s lifetime, she was involved in… hold my soda… dance, plays and musicals, church choir and singing groups, church youth group, cosmetology school, childcare, band, amber guard, Girl Scouts, volunteering, and working at a local coffee shop. The life of the party has just arrived in the next life, and I trust that she is dancing with Jesus right now to a heavenly version of a song that would make our mother blush.

When faced with the phrase, “I love you more.” Annabeth would respond, after a long line of one-ups, with “I love you most! And that’s the superlative form, so I win!” And that was her: she lived her life in the superlative form. With every feeling, activity, and relationship she experienced, she did them to the fullest. Well Anna, we may never be able to match your superlative, but I hope you know, we will always keep loving you more.

Annabeth’s memorial service will be Wednesday, March 26th at Cicero Christian Church. Visitation will be from 4:00pm-6:00pm and the service will be officiated by Jody England beginning at 6:00pm. We ask that all attendees wear purple to honor Annabeth.
