Alberta Lucille Leap

Alberta Lucille Leap, age 90, a fifty year resident of Rochester, IN, now of Hamilton County, IN, died January 25, 2014 at Community North Hospital at Indianapolis. She was born May 2, 1923 to the late Harry Alvin and Artie Marie (Swartz) McAvoy. She was a graduate of Noblesville High School with the Class of 1941. She had worked for many years at the Mode O' Day Dress Shop at Rochester. She also enjoyed her role as a homemaker including crocheting, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She married Roy Bernard Leap on June 14, 1941. He preceded her in death June 15, 2004. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Biddle and Margaret Haskett. Surviving her is a daughter: Vicki Jo (James) Price of Greenfield, IN, grandson: Bryan Price of Woodbridge, VA, great-grandchildren: Andrew and Evan Price of Woodbridge, VA and a sister-in-law: Elsie Leap of Cicero, IN. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Elder John Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
