Alberta Hiatt

Alberta Hiatt, age 91, of Arcadia, IN died September 9, 2010 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN. She was born December 7, 1918 at Tipton, IN to George and Doris (Hiatt) Shock.

She was a graduate of Atlanta High School Class of 1938. She was a member of Arcadia Christian Church, the Ruth Circle and the Arcadia Quilting Club. Alberta enjoyed being a homemaker.

She married Paul Hiatt on February 9, 1943. He passed away Jasnuary 23, 1999. In addition to her parents, a daughter, Paula Hiatt and several brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving her are two sons and their wives: Mark (Joyce) Hiatt of Dallas, Texas, Michael (Cheryl) Hiatt of Arcadia, IN, three daughters and their husbands: Pat (Jim) Byers of Jacksboro, TN, Georgia (Scott) Miller of Cicero, IN, and Carla (Mike) Kish of Indianapolis, IN, a sister: Wanda Gullion of Kokomo, IN, three brothers: Russell Shock of Long Beach, CA, Donald Shock of Tipton, IN, Darrell Shock of Ocala, FL, 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. with funeral services at 5:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Rev. Mark Knapp officiating. A committal service will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the Arcadia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
